Edukacy ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, including our interactive courses, Eduscroll feed, and certificates of completion.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We may collect personal information that you provide directly to us, including:

• Name and email address
• Phone number (for OTP verification)
• Grade/class level
• Profile information

2.2 Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use the App:

• Learning progress and performance data across courses and lessons
• Time spent on lessons and Eduscroll cards
• Quiz scores, XP earned, streaks, and saved cards
• Course completions and certificates issued to you
• Device information and app usage statistics

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the App, including courses and Eduscroll content
• Personalize your learning experience
• Track your progress and issue certificates when you complete a course
• Send learning reminders and streak notifications
• Improve our services and develop new features
• Communicate with you about updates and support
• Ensure the security of your account

4. Data Storage and Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. Your data is stored securely on cloud servers with encryption. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing & Sub-Processors

We do not sell your personal information. We do share specific data with the following sub-processors so that the app can function. Each provider is bound by their own privacy policy and is contractually limited to the purposes listed below.

• Supabase Inc. (database and authentication hosting) — receives your name, email, phone number, class/grade, learning progress, XP and streak data, saved Eduscroll cards, certificate records, and notification preferences. Used solely to operate the app.
• Google LLC — Firebase Cloud Messaging — receives a device push token and the contents of any reminder/streak push notifications we send to you. Used to deliver notifications.
• Google LLC — Google Play Billing (Android app only) — receives a purchase token, product identifier, and an obfuscated account identifier when you buy a subscription or certificate inside the Android app. Used to verify purchases and grant entitlements.
• Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd. (web origin only) — receives your name, email, phone number, billing address (if entered), and payment instrument details when you buy a subscription on the web. Used to process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Anthropic PBC (Claude AI) — receives the questions and messages you type into the in-app AI tutor, plus the AI responses. Used to generate AI tutor replies. Anthropic does not train models on this data under our enterprise terms.
• Vercel Inc. (web hosting) — receives standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, request paths) when you use the app. Used for operating and securing the web infrastructure.
• Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Edukacy or our users.

6. Children's Privacy

Edukacy is intended for users aged 13 and above. Users under 13 should not register without verifiable parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without consent. If you believe a child under 13 has registered without consent, please contact us at info@edukacy.com and we will delete the account.

7. Your Rights & How to Exercise Them

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information via Settings → Your Data
• Correct inaccurate data via Settings → Profile
• Delete your account and all data — permanently and immediately — at Settings → Account → Delete Account or at app.edukacy.com/legal/delete-account
• Opt-out of push notifications via Settings → Notifications
• Export your learning data (progress + certificates) via Settings → Export
• Contact us for any other request at info@edukacy.com — we respond within 7 working days per the DPDP Act 2023

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use local storage and similar technologies to enhance your experience, remember your preferences, and track your learning progress. You can manage these settings through your device settings.

9. Third-Party Services

Our App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party services you access.

10. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the app at Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing us. Deletion is immediate; the data is removed from our active systems and cannot be recovered. 11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
